Rainbow School Toilet is an initiative project launched by WTO. They aim to help schools in rural parts of China to rebuild their old toilet system to a new one and educate the students on practicing proper hygiene and sanitation. With the ultimate aim of inspiring positive, long-lasting behavioural change among Chinese students, WTO inaugurated the Rainbow School Toilet Initiative.
The brief
To reposition RST’s brand image and increase its brand recall rate so that proper sanitation practices in school can lead to a hygienic study environment for a better future.
Target audience: Primary school students in rural parts of China, their school teachers, parents and principals in rural part of China
The children cannot remember who helped them and they don’t understand the importance and impact of sanitation. The hygiene teaching education and materials by the volunteers are not engaging enough as it does not visually and emotionally appeal to children.
We want to rebrand RST such that they can help the children when they're in trouble, also, to touch their hearts and souls because a hero will always smile and stand strong in the face of trouble. To teach, to empower, to learn, through Teeyo, our mascot and its stories.
